Superiority
THPO (tris (hydroxymethyl) phosphine oxide) is a new type of reactive flame retardant containing
organic phosphorus. It is colorless or light yellow transparent liquid. It does not contain halogen elements, but
with more phosphorus than general phosphorus-containing flame retardants. Its structural formula is similar to
glycerol, containing active hydroxymethyl. It is an alternative to glycerol as the initiator to compound flame
retardant polyether. It replaces the phosphate ester bond with P-C key links. Its hydrolysis resistance is
excellent without affecting the performance of the raw material storage, no corrosive to the mould during the
production in the meantime. THPO has many advantages such as fine heat stability, hydrolysis resistance,
non-toxic and good flame retardant performance.It can not only be used in the flame retardant of external
polyurethane rigid foam insulation board , but also in the senior lubricating oil and the drug intermediates.
